Specific Objectives: A major aim of the department is to offer a sound educational preparation in Economics and Development Studies to all students enrolled in the department and gives them a firm foundation for effective participation in the society of man in general and Nigeria in particular as Economists, Bankers, Financiers, Administrators, Academics, Management Executives and allied professionals.
To this end the department offers academic programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Development Studies.
